The Sandbox: Get Excited

By STAR Committee

This month on The Sandbox we asked some of STAR Radio’s committee members about the things they are most excited for this term in the St Andrews Music Scene. From magazine launches (stay tuned) to discovering new music on air there’s so much to look forward to in the bubble!

“We’re really looking forward to continuing to spotlight St Andrews’ phenomenal student bands at Sounds of Sandy’s this semester! Anyone looking to support their local music community, support STAR, or just looking to have a fun Saturday night out should come join us! Additionally, we’re debuting a new music event we’re really excited for this March, where two of STAR’s radio hosts will be adapting their shows for a live audience in Sandy’s Bar. For electronic music aficionados and radio fanatics alike!” – Lucy Kerr, Hearing Aid Staff Writer and STAR Co-Head of Music Events

“The St Andrews music thing I’m most excited for is discovering new songs and artists by listening to the new STAR shows” – Amey Anderson, STAR Station Manage

“I’m excited for the battle of the bands/musicfest that Musicfund often hosts and seeing lots of St Andrews talent in one night!” – Scott Sambrook, STAR Deputy Station Manager

“I am so incredibly excited for this semester’s edition of Hearing Aid! All the writers have pitched such great ideas and the launch events are always such a great time to talk about music and find out about bands and events I’ve never heard of.” – Mia Romanoff, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Hearing Aid Magazine
