Hearing Aid’s Day Out at Tenement Trail 2025

By Ben Bagley

Hearing Aid is heading to Glasgow’s East End on 11th October for Tenement Trail – the city’s all-day festival stacked with hot new talent and fuelled (naturally) by Tennent’s. Here’s some of our must see acts for the afternoon:

Adult DVD

St Luke’s | 2:15pm

Kicking off the festival, Adult DVD will set St Luke’s light with their synth-driven bangers. After a summer including appearances at End of the Road, Green Man and even Glasto, the Leeds natives are bringing their raucous live show to Scotland. We can see it getting pretty steamy for Adult DVD.

Fright Years

Barrowland’s Ballroom | 5pm

Edinburgh’s dreampop outfit Fright Years are the next on our agenda. Hardcore live music fans amongst you may remember their appearance in 601 last year. They’ve gone on to, if you can believe it, bigger and better things. After the release of debut EP Still Life and a UK-wide tour under their belt, this easily their biggest date yet.

Croíthe

Van Winkel | 7pm

The only thing better than Croíthe’s brooding, reverb-soaked post-punk is watching it in a diner. You heard right, BBQ joint Van Winkel doubles as a stage this year. This might be your last chance to catch this exciting new band within ten feet of a deep-fat fryer.

Do Nothing

Barras Art & Design | 10:15pm

Nottingham’s Do Nothing blend dry lyricism with effortlessly catchy bass lines. They are certainly the only band on the bill to incorporate football clichés into their songs, something to be applauded. “What a player he was, by the way,” more like “what a band this is, by the way.”

Cowboy Hunters

McChuills | 11pm

If McChuills extensive draught selection (including personal Bavarian favourite Weihenstephan) isn’t enough to woo you then Cowboy Hunters’ high octane punk should. Coming off the back of a support slot with Franz Ferdinand over the summer, this Glasgow punk act are bound to deliver. And you’ll be able to secure a prime spot for the secret set at midnight.

See you in the pits.
